Early Morning Musing

Sunset of Bee’s World

I sit here in the peaceful darkness of early morning. My sleep is all rearranged from working strange new hours and a mind that is often too busy of woulda, coulda, shoulda. And yet, I am still contentedly at peace. I long to hear the crickets but they are passed their time now as fall truly comes to play. The leaves are beginning to peak in color further north and I see shades of it here and there.

In less than a week I am going on an adventure. One that I said I would never take again, and one that I always wanted to take. The first, is getting married to a man who keeps insisting that he is less awesome than he is. I said I would never get married again and hardly was inclined to date. But there he is. Usually with a tea or coffee in his hand for me when we meet.  The second is an adventure to a place we both can’t wait to visit. It is in the north like our wedding. We love fall, we love cool weather, we love northern climates more than tropical beaches and too hot days.

“I have always seen a great similarity in the turn of our minds. We are each of an unsocial, taciturn disposition, unwilling to speak, unless we expect to say something that will amaze the whole room, and be handed down to posterity with all the éclat of a proverb.”

– Elizabeth Bennet, Pride and Prejudice

I’m happy to give you all a peek into my small world. I have very little significant to say most times and yet I appreciate it when you read it anyway. I keep reminding myself that the blogging and writing I do through the week does not need to be so profound. Life is not always profound. It is a lot of time between moments of clarity, action, confusion, emotion, and joy. Much like my writing. I write thousands of words a day. But none of it is meant for publication at times. It clears the way so that when I do get an epiphany I can share it with the world and try to make it just a little bit better.

  1. I want to wish you the best on your adventure. the man that has coffee or tea when you meet is a good man to keep happy too. I like so much from what you have written here, mostly that you are at peace, that is so hard to achieve, I am happy for you. and what you write is not ever insignificant, it means a lot to me, it gives me hope and courage that maybe one day I may have an adventure of my own! blessings on you a girl names Bee, you are amazing.
